Operating in the dynamic corporate travel and events sector, this position takes full responsibility for the financial management of the Sports and Leisure division. Reporting to the CEO (with a dotted line to the Cluster CFO), the successful candidate will drive financial integrity, manage working capital, oversee supplier and client relationships, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a leadership role that blends strategic financial management with hands-on operational control.Key Responsibilities: Oversee the full finance function for Sports and Leisure, including reconciliations, invoicing, supplier settlements, and collections. Drive working capital management, ensuring payments, approvals, and collections are effectively handled within agreed timelines. Build and maintain strong supplier and client relationships to ensure accounts are current and risks are minimized. Implement cost management frameworks and revenue controls to maximise profitability and ensure compliance. Lead, mentor, and develop finance staff to foster teamwork, morale, and performance excellence. Job Experience & Skills Required: BCom Accounting (non-negotiable). 58 years experience in cost accounting and financial management, preferably in high-volume environments. Proven expertise in accounting, auditing, and financial operations. Advanced proficiency in MS Office/Excel. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict management skills. Highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and business-savvy with strong planning and organisational ability. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
