Description:
Minimum requirements:BSc in Plant/Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Botany, Biotechnology, or related field. 5+ years proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or in a similar role Solid understanding and practical experience with FSSC 22000 (Version 6) and HACCP. Previous experience with macadamias will be a strong advantage Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the companys Food Safety and Quality Management System in line with FSSC 22000 v6 certification Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and environmental samples Interpret test results, compare against specifications, and recommend actions for release or non-conformance Perform visual inspections and monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards Compile laboratory test data and conduct appropriate analyses to support quality assurance processes Maintain accurate documentation including data capture forms, equipment logs, inventory sheets, and QA reports Lead and coordinate internal audits, supplier audits, and external certification inspections Facilitate staff training in food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance practices Develop, update, and enforce SOPs, HACCP plans, and food safety protocols Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on trend analysis, audit findings, and customer feedback
