Job Overview
Responsible for supporting the Head of HR, who is based in the UK, by working closely with our clients’ South African stakeholders on things such as recruitment, on-boarding, training and general HR matters. Working closely with the Head of HR to implement new strategies and projects. Work closely with all UK department heads to gain an understanding of the business needs on an ongoing basis.
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assisting the Head of HR with the process of recruitment, including vetting candidates, assisting with interviews and issuing employment contracts Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department Compiling and maintaining digital and electronic employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves Supporting HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars Entering employee data into computer database Coordinating onboarding for new hires Writing and submitting reports on general HR activities Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating management-employee communications Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency
Experience Required
Essential
Previous experience within an HR Administration/Assistant role Strong IT skills and can pick up systems Excellent attention to detail Flexible and hard-working Warm, friendly, and approachable manner
Remuneration
Between R30 000 and R32 000 cost to company per month based on experience
