Description:
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on diesel engines and related systems.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on locomotives, rolling stock, or heavy diesel machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to Junior Artisans and Apprentices.
Requirements:
- Recognised Artisan qualification (Diesel Mechanic / Fitter & Turner / Millwright) with Master Artisan status.
- Minimum of 5 years post-trade experience, preferably within rail, mining, or heavy engineering environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
