Description:
Job Purpose:The Warehouse/Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our e- commerce fulfillment centre to ensure efficient and elective fulfillment processes. This role focuses on optimizing warehousing, order processing, inventory management, and outbound operations. The Operations Manager will lead a team to meet high performance and customer satisfaction standards, while also aligning with the strategic goals of the business to support growth and profitability.Fulfillment Operations Management
Oversee end-to-end fulfillment operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
Implement best practices to optimize order processing, ensuring last, accurate, and cost-effective order fulfillment.
Manage capacity planning, including space utilization, equipment needs, and workforce scheduling, especially during peak seasons.
Process Improvement & Efficiency
Analyze operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and minimize fulfillment costs.
Establish and monitor KPIs for order accuracy,fuIfiIIment speed,and operational cost management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage changes e actively to maintain high levels of operational excellence.
Inventory & Quality Control
Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
Implement quality control standards to ensure product accuracy and integrity through the fulfillment process.
Work closely with the procurement to maintain consumable and packaging material inventory levels aligned with demand forecasts.
Budgeting 6‹ Financial Management
Develop and manage the operational budget for the fulfillment centre.
Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service levels.
Ensure alignment with financial targets and provide regular reports on budget performance.
5. Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and develop a skilled operations team, focusing on continuous improvement and capability building.
Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, performance management, and motivation.
Promote a positive, inclusive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
Health, Safety 6‹ Compliance
Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, including compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
Conduct regular safety audits, implement corrective actions, and foster a safety-first culture within the fulfillment centre.
Ensure all operations are compliant with company policies and legal requirements including fire safety.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
Work closely with customer service, business development, and technology teams to align operations with customer needs.
Address escalated customer issues related to fulfillment and proactively implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external partners to optimise logistics efficiency.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience in operations management within e-commerce, logistics, or warehousing
Proven track record in a high-volume, fast-paced fulfillment environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and data analysis tools
