RequirementsGrade 12/Matric certificate or equivalent required Tertiary qualification is advantageous Prior exceptional work experience in the industry is preferred Experience: minimum 5 years related experience Responsibilities:
Overseeing assembly department processes Ensure departments are efficient (optimize resource utilization) and performance driven (Achieving deadlines) Drive production quality Monitor current production processes and ensure cost effectiveness thereof Implement company's health and safety procedure on shop floor (Person and environment.) Implement production line quality control (Sign-off on inter department hand-over.) Working along with management team to implement company's procedures and policies to ensure goals are met (Deadlines etc.) Supervising and motivating shop employees Check, compare and monitor accuracy of timesheet submitted by employees. Time estimated (paid) versus actual time recorded on job Drive and action disciplinary procedures where necessary channel via the production manager (Ensure fairness and equality.) Distribution of workload and making sure the employee understands brief and deadline urgency Toolbox talks Arrange and conduct daily feedback meetings with employees Daily feedback to factory manager Daily factory closure, ensure all windows are closed, lights are switched off, machines are switched off and environment are safe Skill set requirements
Thorough understanding or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery Excellent supervisory and leadership skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Ability to make calculated judgements calls Deep knowledge of the production/manufacturing industry and processes Ability to read specification sheets/drawings and blueprints
