Description:

An established company located in Pretoria East is seeking an experienced ICT Manager to lead and optimize its information technology operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in leveraging IT as a strategic asset, ensuring the efficient and effective use of technology across the organization. This role is offered as a 12-month contract position Position Overview:
To support the company in the efficient and effective utilisation of information technology as a strategic resource.
To manage the information technology function of the company and ensure establishment of sound information management systems.

Requirements:
  • Degree: Information Technology , Information Management
  • 5+ years ICT Management experience
  • Including the following:
    • Management of Information systems
    • Management of Information Technology and related activities
    • Implementation of internal systems
    • Evaluation of new technological developments
  • Valid drivers license and own transport
    Prepared to work overtime when needed
  • Ability to engage at all management levels Very good communication (verbal and written)

Responsibilities:
  • Aligning the company’s information management (information management systems included) and information technology strategy, with the strategic direction, organisational plans and business processes of the organisation, with due consideration of the strategic direction of the Council
    • Establish an information plan, information technology plan and operational plans to give effect to the strategic direction of the
  • Develop supporting information management and information technology enabler policies, strategies, regulations, standards, best practices, guidelines and procedures, derived from the National Information Management and Information Technology policy, and
  • Norms developed by the ICT Manager council and DPSA but focused on specific requirements of the company.
  • Facilitate the implementation and adherence to the policies and strategies as contained in the different
  • Represent the companyat the ICT Manager
  • Promote effective management of information and information technology as a strategic
    • Apply an enterprise-wide approach to the use of information management (information technology systems and infrastructure) in supporting the company to establish a client-focused delivery strategy, eliminating unnecessary duplication, increase overall coordination and control and rapidly introduce new systems and technology to improve service delivery.
    • Develop information and technology systems infrastructure and conduct investigations into the maintenance of existing technologies, availability, needs and demand of new Rationalise unnecessary duplication and redundancy of information and technologies. Where feasible, promote common requirements across the organisation.
    • Promote the utilisation of technology as a key enabler for the future in delivering information and services and promote its use in the transformation of government service delivery.
  • Create an enabling environment for other managers to perform their functions efficiently and

  • Manage the SITA relationship: This entails control of the Business Agreement (BA) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with SITA and/or other suppliers of information management and information technology goods and services.
  • Utilise security mechanisms and ensure compliance to the relevant regulatory
  • Ensure development and training of the members in the department in relevant information technology matters.
