LABORATORY TECHNICIAN: Ref. No. 340Minimum requirements
•BSc. Degree in Construction Management/Quantity Surveying, or equivalent NQF level 7.
•At least 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience or
•At least 2 years of industry experience within the built environment.
Additional Recommendations:
•Good communication and lecturing skills.
•A strong passion for technology, teaching, and research.
•Experience with BIM.
•Proof of 2 years of teaching, tutoring, or practical experience at a higher education institute or private institution.
•Experience with OHS and procurement practices.
•Experience in the built environment software: WinQS, CCS, MS Project, or Revit
Summary of Duties:
•Teaching laboratory software at all levels.
•The development of technological learning materials.
•The successful candidate is expected to be actively involved in technological research and development in the department.
•Oversee the operations of the computer and practical laboratory, in maintaining existing infrastructure, software, hardware, and computing.
•Assist with departmental, administrative, and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department.
