Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Manager with a level of Operational skills to oversee the financial, operational, and HR functions. The role requires a hands-on individual with strong analytical skills, capable of managing accounting processes, operational efficiencies, payroll & inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting:
• Oversee full financial operations, including bank uploads, reconciliations, creditor and debtor management, intercompany loans and bank processing.
• Prepare and process month-end reports, VAT returns, payroll, PAYE and UIF submissions.
• Manage audit and financial reviews with external firms.
• Prepare board packs and performance analysis.
Inventory & Stock Management:
Conduct monthly, bi-weekly, and bi-annual stock counts and cycle counts.
• Analyse variances and manage write-offs and provisions.
• Oversee landed cost calculations and ensure system accuracy between Erply and Xero.
• Manage stock allocation for promotions, giveaways, uniforms and influencer marketing.
Operations:
• Oversee ops manager and store managers.
• Review SKU logic, set retail selling prices (RSPs) and manage gross profit margins.
• Supervise cash and card reconciliation processes, including Yoco, Snapscan and Payflex.
• Oversee new store setup including supplier coordination, merchandising, staffing and training.
• Ensure adherence to International operational and visual merchandising standards.
HR & Payroll:
• Manage end-to-end HR processes including contracts, disciplinary actions, incentive
structures, and performance reviews.
Standardise salary structures and oversee payroll processing.
• Facilitate staff training and maintain accurate leave and overtime records.
Business Analysis & Reporting:
• Generate and review sales and inventory reports, highlighting fast/slow movers, damaged goods and missed opportunities.
• Recommend and monitor promotional activities.
• Coordinate monthly reporting to stakeholders and shopping centre management.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Proven experience in financial management, retail operations, and HR.
• Strong knowledge of Xero, Erply, and Erply retail POS systems will be advantageous.
• High proficiency in Excel and analytical tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
