A leading national retailer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee the operations of 6 to 8 retail stores across the Gauteng region. This role is perfect for a dynamic retail leader who thrives on driving performance, operational excellence, and team development across multiple branches. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and support Store Managers to achieve sales, profit, and customer service targets. • Monitor store performance, analyze sales reports, and implement strategies to improve turnover and profitability. • Ensure consistent operational standards across stores, including merchandising, stock control, staff management, and compliance. • Recruit, train, coach, and develop store teams to ensure strong leadership at branch level. • Conduct regular store visits and audits, providing actionable feedback to enhance performance and customer experience. • Collaborate with head office on marketing campaigns, product rollouts, and regional promotions. • Drive implementation of new systems, processes, and strategic initiatives across the region. Requirements: • Minimum 3–5 years of multi-store management experience in a retail environment. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Proven track record of delivering on KPIs and improving business performance. • Hands-on experience in people management, training, and team development. • Solid understanding of retail operations, stock control, and visual merchandising. • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the province. • Matric required; a diploma or degree in Retail, Business Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
