Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for an Account Specialist Veterinary Animal Science based in Durban, Kwazulu Natal. The Veterinary Account Specialist is a specialist position, with the ideal candidate responsible for engaging with some of our key veterinarian, and veterinary channel customers.
A strong affinity for the technical and scientific aspects of our products, the industry and associated conditions is essential, as well as a strong concept and understanding of the business aspect of selling high quality, premium veterinary pharmaceuticals.

Grade 12 Certificate; Tertiary qualification in Veterinary Science (BVSc or equivalent) or Veterinary Nursing (BVetNurs or Dip.Vet.Verpl, or equivalent) or degree in Science (BSc or equivalent), Agriculture (BSc (Agric)) or Animal Science (or equivalent). Preferably 5 years animal health experience, and some sales experience. Previous sales and/or marketing experience in the Animal Health industry preferable A valid driver''s license A willingness and ability to travel extensively within the territory (Routes will involve often overnight travel) Reporting Structure: Commercial Manager Sales and Customer Territory: KwaZulu-Natal and eastern part of Eastern Cape
Duties:
The person in role is required to develop mutually beneficial and productive long-term partnerships with our veterinary customers (vet direct accounts, non-direct vet accounts and veterinary wholesalers) and maintain these relationships with the appropriate quantity & quality of activity. Work collaboratively to utilise the resources from the Marketing team, Technical team and bring a significant level of knowledge and expertise to the customer. Detailing and Selling: Through strong technical proficiency; excellent product knowledge and understanding, meeting customers requirements thereby promoting our products using solution selling techniques. Territory and veterinary customer base analysis, identification of high potential veterinary and
selected farmer customers.
