What Youll Be Doing:
Develop and optimise recommendation engines using collaborative filtering, content-based, and hybrid approaches Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to fine-tune personalization strategies Collaborate with engineering and product teams to bring models from idea to live production Run A/B tests, evaluate results, and iterate to improve model performance Continuously explore new algorithms and data sources to push the boundaries of relevance Partner with Data Engineers to structure scalable data pipelines Document models, methodology, and insights for clarity and repeatability
What You Need:
A Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (Post-grad is a plus) 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science or machine learning roles Strong Python skills and proficiency in tools like NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch Deep understanding of recommendation systems and machine learning fundamentals Experience with SQL and large-scale datasets Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar version control systems Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas across teams
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience with recommendation libraries like Surprise, LightFM, RecBole, or implicit Knowledge of NLP or time-series analytics Exposure to Azure or similar cloud platforms Experience deploying models into production environments via APIs or containers
