A South African market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative steel structures requires Digital Marketing Assistant to actively expand their presence throughout Africa. Key Responsibilities:Marketing
- Create marketing materials: brochures, flyers, product spec sheets, social posts, email templates, and presentations.
- Design visual assets in line with brand guidelines using Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Support rollout of marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, and product launches.
- Manage day-to-day social posting on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Assist with engagement monitoring, responding to queries, and maintaining a monthly content calendar.
- Develop targeted content to support African market growth.
- Assist in researching and drafting white papers, thought leadership articles, and customer use cases for web, email, and social distribution.
- Coordinate with the sales team to identify satisfied clients for review collection or case study interviews.
- Write or co-write customer stories that highlight the company's value and solutions in action.
- Work with the Head of Marketing to publish and promote these stories online.
- Research potential clients in logistics, warehousing, retail, and manufacturing across Africa.
- Identify and verify key decision-makers through LinkedIn and directories.
- Build contact lists and prepare outreach plans to support the sales team.
Industry Media & Prospecting
- Scan trade publications, magazines, real estate listings, and industry news for mentions of new warehouse builds, business expansions, or spotlight articles.
- Initiate first contact or hand off warm leads to sales for follow-up.
- Log activity and progress in a shared tracking system.
- Monitor online tender platforms for shelving, racking, and storage infrastructure projects.
- Flag relevant tenders and support submission preparation.
- Track industry procurement trends and prequalification opportunities.
- Follow up with sales reps on assigned leads and record updates.
- Provide structured feedback to marketing and our external agency on lead quality.
- Maintain up-to-date lead tracking logs or CRM data.
- Set up and distribute customer satisfaction surveys post-project.
- Collect and analyse client feedback to identify service strengths and areas for improvement.
- Report insights to internal teams and use findings to support online testimonial and review content.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing, content creation, or lead research role.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Strong writing and editing skills for business content (social posts, case studies, or white papers).
- Excellent research abilities, including company and contact identification.
- Confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders (sales, clients, agencies).
- Comfortable navigating tender platforms and survey tools (e.g., Google Forms, Typeform, SurveyMonkey).
- Bonus: Familiarity with CRM platforms, Mailchimp, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
