Description:
Duties:
- Onsite support and troubleshooting:
- Resolve onsite technical issues and hardware faults
- Replace or repair faulty POS equipment:
- Power supplies, printers, terminals, etc
- Hardware installation and setup:
- Install:
- POS terminals
- Printers
- Cash drawers
- Scanners, and
- Kitchen display systems
- Connect all equipment to necessary power, LAN, and networking infrastructure
- Install:
- Configuration and testing:
- Configure BIOS settings, static IPs, and display options
- Load POS client software and conduct full hardware functionality testing
- After-hours work:
- Perform installations and go-lives after business hours.
- Be available for weekly standby rotation to attend to urgent issues
- Client Liaison & Support:
- Deliver professional, client-facing support during go-lives
- Communicate concerns or risks to internal teams
- Documentation & Feedback:
- Complete installation checklists and log work using mobile tools
- Ensure accurate photos, notes, and client sign-offs are captured
- Secondary Responsibilities:
- Collect/return hardware stock, maintain tools/vehicle, and attend internal training
- Assist during larger rollout or upgrade projects

- A+ and/or N+ Certification or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year in IT hardware support, or field installations
- Hospitality or POS-related tech experience is a strong advantage
- Diagnostic and problem-solving mindset
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, routers)
- Effective communication and independence, especially after hours
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Must be available to work after hours as required
- Must be available to be on stand-by as required
- Own vehicle
