Description:

We are seeking to employ a skilled training professional with a passion for developing and supporting employees through on-the-job training programs. The On-the-Job Training Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing on-the-job training programs for employees within the organization. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify training needs, creating training materials, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and is crucial in ensuring that new hires and current employees receive the necessary training and support to succeed in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement effective on-the-job training programs tailored to the specific needs of various departments ensuring that all training materials and resources are up-to-date and relevant to the job requirements
- Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training requirements and objectives
- Oversee the delivery of training sessions, ensuring that employees receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced staff
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and employee evaluations
- Adjust training strategies and materials based on assessment results to optimize learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and program outcomes.
- Prepare reports and presentations on training initiatives for management review.
- Lead and mentor a team of trainers and facilitators, providing guidance and support to enhance their training capabilities.
- Promote teamwork and a positive learning environment among staff.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in on-the-job training, making recommendations for improvements and updates to training programs as needed

Qualifications:
- Matric and ODETDP National Diploma or a similar ETD qualification
- Proven experience in designing and implementing on-the-job training programs in a corporate setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate employees at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies
- Certification in training and development is a plus
