Role Purpose

We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Manager to support the finance function across our US and European operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with US GAAP, and driving insight-led decision-making across our international entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly closing and reconciliations for US and European companies.

  • Prepare and review the monthly reporting pack for non-South African entities.

  • Analyse and report on actual vs. budget performance , highlighting key variances.

  • Circulate weekly exchange rates to internal stakeholders.

  • Load and authorise payments using the online banking portal .

  • Align annual and quarterly financial statements with investor press releases.

  • Prepare US tax return schedules and ensure reconciliation with submitted returns.

  • Record and distribute minutes of meetings .

  • Prepare monthly payment schedules for the US entity.

  • Draft and/or review technical US GAAP accounting memos as required.

  • Conduct impairment assessments for goodwill and fair value investments when needed.

  • Support the review and preparation of monthly group consolidations .

  • Take on ad hoc financial tasks and responsibilities expected of a Financial Manager.

Requirements

  • CA(SA) or equivalent international accounting qualification.

  • Minimum 5 years’ post-articles experience, ideally within a multinational or group structure.

  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP , IFRS , and group reporting principles.

  • Demonstrated experience with international entities , consolidations, and tax compliance.

  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with online banking platforms.

  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines across time zones.

  • High attention to detail and professional discretion.
