REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Metrology, Engineering, Physics, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience as a Metrologist at OEM level Code 08 or higher driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience A combination of interpersonal and technical skills is essential Able to handle measuring instruments with precision, follow strict metrological procedures and produce reliable results In-depth knowledge of measurement principles and mastery of metrology tools and CAD software are essential Clear and effective communication - able to communicate with team members, as well as other departments, to share information on measurements made and results obtained. The ability to work as part of a team Ability to work with minimal supervision or engineering oversight at the automotive OEM level Problem-solving is an essential skill - able to identify and resolve problems with measuring equipment or measurement results Analytical thinking and a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving issues effectively Attention to detail and problem-solving Data analysis and report writing Technical knowledge and presentation skillsRESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the accuracy and precision of measurements and control of product quality Design, develop and implement measurement systems and procedures to monitor and improve operational processes in a start-up operation Analyse measurement data and generate detailed reports to document the performance and compliance of the company's products Use statistical techniques (SPC and SQC) to analyse body shop production (Cpk, Ppk) to promote capability and identify process variation Understanding basic problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis, and the ability to use these tools to drive root cause identification, presentation, and problem-solving Utilise precision measuring tools and equipment to perform inspections Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations Conduct quality control checks and internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ISO17025, ISO/ TS16949 Identify and resolve measurement variation, trace root cause analysis, and provide technical support and guidance to other personnel Maintain detailed records of calibration procedures and measurement results, ensuring traceability and accountability in the measurement process Provide technical support and training to other departments Use CATIA, SolidWorks, Polyworks, Caligo CAD packages Use the Farro arm portable CMM to measure BIW jigs and fixtures, and parts Able to set up fixtures for BIW detailed measuring Use advanced metrology methods, including multi-sensor CMMs, non-contact inspectio
