Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures in accordance with project specifications and client requirements. Conduct inspections and testing of construction materials, activities, and finished works to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and specifications. Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner. Prepare and maintain all QA/QC documentation, including inspection test plans (ITPs), checklists, material submittals, and quality reports. Lead internal audits and participate in external audits; support continuous improvement initiatives. Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings. Ensure non-conformance reports (NCRs) are properly raised, investigated, and closed out with corrective/preventive actions. Participate in pre-commissioning and handover activities, ensuring all quality records are compiled and submitted for final project closeout. Provide training and awareness sessions to site staff on QA/QC procedures and best practices.Qualifications
BTech in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or National Diploma. Experience with Windfarm or Construction is essential. Minimum of 35 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry, preferably on large-scale projects. Compile/Review inspection & test plans, quality control plans (QCPs) and related inspection / testing records. Compile Work Package QA/QC Datapacks for each section of work. Compile reports on project quality (system/workmanship) compliance. The oversight management of site document control in relation to drawings and as-built records. Management of the project NCR system; Interface with Clientele and Project Management concerning project qualityrelated defects and remedial actions. Management & coordination of Quality Control team members (QC/QC Inspectors / Document Controllers). Conducting quality evaluations/audit of project subcontractors & suppliers. Assessment of critical materials delivered to site. Interface/Coordination with Laboratory services concerning site testing requirements. Internal auditing of the site QMS in terms of ISO 9001. Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, construction codes, and quality management systems. Strong understanding of project specifications, engineering drawings, and material standards. Certification in Quality Control (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQE, or equivalent) is an advantage. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with QA/QC
