Description:
Manage the full receivables process, ensuring timely collections, accurate allocations, and up-to-date customer account records
Process and reconcile daily receipts, distribute monthly statements, and support efficient invoicing in collaboration with internal teams
Monitor overdue accounts, flag high-risk clients, and recommend appropriate credit actions to reduce exposure
Review and authorise credit notes, follow up on outstanding payments, and ensure accurate reporting of aged debtors
Conduct credit assessments, set recommended limits for approval, and manage formal credit communication with delinquent accounts
Track debtor days, submit cash collection forecasts, and implement strategies to support healthy cash flow
Verify supporting documents for refunds and process payments in line with internal controls
Prepare reconciliations, post journals, and align bank statements with ledger records monthly
Compile monthly reports on receivables, credit activity, and key metrics for finance leadership
Support audit processes by coordinating documentation, preparing credit risk disclosures, and addressing finance-related queries
Ensure all records and customer data are managed in compliance with internal standards and data privacy regulations.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar role, such as Senior Bookkeeper or equivalent
Sound understanding of the Debtors/Credit Control Function
Cash Control understanding
Worked up to General Ledger
Ability to speak Zulu or Xhosa is highly beneficial
Pastel / Sage Pastel understanding is highly beneficial
Qualification:
Matric
A completed tertiary qualification in Finance
