Assistant Yard Supervisor - BUCO Jeffreys Bay

Introduction:

The main purpose is to ensure that all customers entering the yard are attended to efficiently and in accordance with company customer service principles and operational processes requirements.

Description:

• 
  
• Receive and document all stock items delivered
  
• Supervise and coordinate loading and offloading of materials
  
• Verify that goods are received, stored, issued or delivered according to established procedures
  
• Ensure that safety procedures are followed
  
• Provide great customer service to meet & exceed the customer’s needs
  
• Ensure stock rotation of stored materials
  
• Manage loss control within department
  
• Housekeeping / Health and Safety
  
• Supervising Staff
  
• Checking forklifts are ready to operate
  
• Physically checking stock and delivery vehicles leaving the yard
  
• Reporting any discrepancies to management immediately
  
• To uphold and promote the company values
  
  
  

Requirements:

• 
  
• Grade 12/Matric
  
• 3 years’ relevant experience
  
• Building Materials product knowledge
  
• Recommended Qualifications - Forklift / Drivers licence
  
• Multilingual
  
• Health & safety training
  
• Basic computer skills
  
• Relevant system/product knowledge
