Description:
A dynamic automotive solutions company is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor with strong leadership, manufacturing, and planning experience to join their team in Pretoria, Gauteng. The successful candidate will support the Operations Manager by overseeing production planning, supervising workshop activities, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality vehicle modifications.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet targets and delivery deadlines.

Manage production documentation including job cards, work instructions, and quality checklists.
-
Coordinate with supply chain, purchasing, and finance teams to ensure smooth production operations.

Assign and monitor workflow, labour, and inventory to maximize output and reduce downtime.
-
Lead, train, and supervise production staff, promoting continuous improvement and skills development.
-
Ensure all work meets ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards and complies with safety protocols.

Investigate production issues, escalate where necessary, and ensure fitments align with technical specifications.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workshop organization using 5S and Smooth Flow principles.

Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly production forecasts and performance reports.
Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Production Planning, Operations Management, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive-related.

Proficient in MS Excel and general production management systems.
-
Strong skills in time study, line balancing, and process improvement.
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities.
-
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet challenging deadlines.
-
Proactive, results-driven attitude with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
-
Automotive industry experience is advantageous.
