Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist in Insurance Risk & Compliance to join their short-term insurance division. Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain compliance frameworks aligned with short-term insurance regulations Conduct analysis on regulatory changes and ensure proper integration into business processes Evaluate existing controls and document risk mitigation plans Collaborate with internal teams and third-party service providers to assess and enhance compliance Analyse complaint trends and regulatory risks, reporting insights to senior stakeholders Develop compliance awareness content and assist with training rollouts Liaise with external regulatory bodies including the FSCA, SARB, and industry ombuds Key Requirements
3-year Degree or National Diploma in BCom, LLB, BA Law, or related field (essential) Minimum 5 years experience in risk and compliance within the insurance sector Strong understanding of Short-Term Insurance Act, Insurance Act, PoPIA, FIC Act, and related legislation Proven ability to translate complex regulations into practical business policies Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
