Family-owned retail group seeks a hands-on, solutions-driven Operations Manager to support the day-to-day functioning of multiple retail outlets. This is a middle-management role suited to someone who thrives on resolving problems, guiding store teams, and taking ownership without needing to be micromanaged. You’ll act as right-hand to the Operations Manager, helping to lead a team of store managers and staff across various branches.

Minimum Requirements:
2+ years in a retail operations or middle-management position
Experience with in-store staff training, customer service, and basic stock control
Ability to resolve issues independently, take initiative, and lead from the front
Strong communication skills across all levels of staff
Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems
Valid drivers license and own vehicle
Duties and Responsibilities:
Store & Team Oversight
Support daily operations across multiple retail branches
Ensure stores are operating efficiently and in line with company expectations
Visit branches regularly to assist with store presentation, staff support, and issue resolution
Step in to resolve escalated queries or gaps where needed
People & Performance
Train, guide and support store staff and junior managers
Create a positive, accountable team culture
Assist in performance management, scheduling and onboarding
Be the go-to for staff who need practical help or direction
Stock & Process Flow
Ensure stock is moving effectively between warehouse and stores
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
Assist with stocktakes and flag inefficiencies in processes
Communication & Admin
Act as a communication bridge between stores and head office
Assist with internal rollouts — such as changes to product lines or store updates
Contribute to reporting on store operations, challenges and team updates
