As an Assistant warehouse manager, you will be responsible for the following:- Oversee daily warehouse and distribution functions, ensuring timely and accurate order processing and returns.
- Coordinate logistics planning, manage fleet operations, and schedule deliveries to meet service standards.
- Improve stock control processes including receiving, labeling, bin allocation, and conducting daily stock counts.
- Enforce compliance with company procedures and health & safety regulations (OHASA).
- Lead, mentor, and support warehouse staff to achieve productivity and quality goals.
- Report regularly on operational metrics, stock levels, and warehouse queries.
- Resolve delivery issues, customer claims, and problem parcels efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment. What Do You Need?:
- National Diploma or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (advantageous).
- 35 years experience in warehouse or distribution management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- In-depth understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/stock management systems.
