Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for retail excellence and team development? We are looking for a Retail Area Manager to oversee and drive the performance of multiple retail stores across Johannesburg.Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores.

• Ensure stores are fully compliant with company policies, procedures, and visual merchandising standards.

• Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure operational excellence.

  Sales & Profitability

  • Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs for each store.

  • Analyze sales performance, identify trends, and implement action plans for improvement.

  • Maximize profitability through effective stock management and shrinkage control.

    Team Leadership

    • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage Store Managers and staff.

    • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement staff development plans.

    • Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on customer service excellence.

      Customer Experience

      • Ensure all stores deliver outstanding customer service.

      • Handle customer escalations and resolve issues efficiently.

        Marketing & Promotions

        • Execute national and local marketing campaigns in stores.

        • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.

          Reporting & Administration

          • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on sales, expenses, and store performance.

          • Manage budgets, payroll, and store expenses efficiently.Requirements:

            • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Area Manager or Regional Manager in the retail sector.

            • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.

            • Proven track record in driving sales and profitability.

            • Excellent knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and customer service standards.

            • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

            • Must be willing to travel extensively within the Johannesburg region.

            • Matric essential; relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.

            • Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
