Key Responsibilities:Retail & Category Analysis:
Analyse POS and internal sales data to identify performance trends and growth opportunities. Benchmark performance against competitors in the coatings and small-project paint markets. Assortment & Planogram Optimisation:
Lead range reviews and identify assortment gaps with major retailers. Generate planograms and manage product libraries and assets. Present data-backed shelf strategies and execution plans to retailers. Pricing & Profitability:
Implement Pricing Analytics to integrate pricing and promotional data into category strategies, driving profitability. Shopper & Promo Insights:
Perform basket-level and promotional lift analysis to assess campaign success. Translate shopper behaviour data into actionable insights. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and e-Commerce teams to align strategies and execution. Provide insights in retailer business reviews and Joint Business Plans. Reporting & Dashboard Management:
Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Excel PivotTables) to track key metrics like sales, market share, and promo performance. Provide monthly and ad-hoc analytical reporting. Key Accounts Management:
Provide retail analysis and reporting for key accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, using data to communicate actionable insights and contribute to the success of joint initiatives. What You Must Have:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field. Minimum 2 to 5 years experience in retail analytics, FMCG/CPG category management, pricing analytics, or a similar role. Experience with retailer channels and syndicated data preferred. Familiarity with pricing analysis or promotional effectiveness. Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, Power Query). Data Visualisation skills using Power BI or Tableau. Experience with retail tools like SAP (or equivalent) for data extraction. Strong communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with key accounts and internal teams.
