Our client, an ISP specializing in providing INTERNET, VOICE and HOSTING solutions , is seeking a permanent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Sales Operations Lead based in Umhlanga, Durban
- Report to: Sales and Operations Director

- Location: Office based
- Office Hours: 8am - 5pm
Purpose:
The Sales Operations Lead is responsible for managing the entire sales life cycle of the business, both directly and indirectly through the sales team and directors' instructions, this will include prospecting and qualifying new sales opportunities; growing the customer base; presenting face-to-face and online demonstrations. proposing and closing managed service contracts; as well as the sale of services and products offered by the company.
The main responsibility is to ensure that the Sales Team is achieving the financial revenue target and customer retention objectives that are required by the company by ensuring the necessary sales strategies and sales requirements given by the sales directors are implemented and within the sales team.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of Information Technology industry products, services, licensing and technologies with a learned focus on products and services sold by THE COMPANY
- Awareness and understanding of commercial terms within sales (margin, gross profit, revenue, turnover, net profit, cost of sales, bulk purchasing, discounting, etc.)
- Extensive experience in all aspects of the sales lifecycle
- Strong understanding of customer sales dynamics and requirements
- Understanding of Sales Methodologies, sales process and dynamics
- Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
- Enjoy working with customers and external audiences
- A commitment to excellent customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Understanding of Internet Access Services and VoIP Telephony
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- Understanding of the sales process and analysis
- Previous team leadership experience
- Qualification in Business Administration , Sales and Marketing , IT or a related field
- 5+ years of sales and organizational experience, preferably within the IT, or ISP industry
