Key Responsibilitiesð??? Accounting & Tax
Manage a portfolio of SME clients Deliver a comprehensive financial management service including reconciliations, management accounts, VAT and income tax returns, annual financial statements and independent reviews Assist clients with budgeting and forecasting Process bank statements, customer and supplier invoices accurately and on timeð??¼ PayrollOversee full payroll processing and compliance for various clients Process new engagements, terminations, leave, overtime, reimbursements and salary structuring Manage time and attendance, Employee Self Service (ESS), payroll queries and reporting Submit all statutory returns (EMP201, EMP501, UIF, COIDA) and handle tax directivesð??° Funding Administration
Receive and verify client funding applications and supporting documents Liaise with clients and suppliers to gather and check purchase orders and quotations Prepare and submit funding applications for review and approval Follow up on outstanding documents and payments with clients, suppliers and government or municipal departments Maintain up-to-date application statuses, age analysis, cash flow records and daily stats Submit accurate weekly reports
Requirementsâ??ï¸ B Compt / B Com (Accounting)
â??ï¸ Completed articles with a reputable small or mid-tier audit/accounting firm, OR at least 3 years SME accounting experience
â??ï¸ Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
â??ï¸ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
â??ï¸ Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
â??ï¸ Experience with Xero, Sage, Draftworx or CaseWare is advantageous
â??ï¸ Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
â??ï¸ A proactive, client-focused mindset
â??ï¸ Willingness to travel extensively within the Free State and Northern Cape
â??ï¸ Drivers license and own vehicle (advantageous)
