Minimum Requirements:
Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal). At least 5 years of experience in a high-volume injection moulding environment. Experience with electrical troubleshooting on hydraulic and electric injection moulding machines. Strong knowledge of industrial automation and PLC fault finding. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and machine safety protocols.Additional Skills & Attributes:

Perform electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on injection moulding machines (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Haitian, etc.). Diagnose and repair issues with servo drives, control systems, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley), sensors, heaters, and temperature controllers. Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on electrical components of moulding machinery. Maintain and install wiring, circuit breakers, control panels, and production line electrical systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and electrical codes (SANS/SABS standards). Work with mechanical fitters and process technicians to minimise machine downtime. Record maintenance activities in logs or CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems). Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations. Conduct root cause analysis on repeated electrical failures and suggest corrective action. Adhere to ISO and quality control standards, especially in the automotive/plastics sectors. Experience working with mould safety systems, including proximity switches.How to apply:
