Description:
A prestigious game lodge is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Field Guide to lead and deliver exceptional safari experiences to guests. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the bush, strong communication skills, and a commitment to conservation and guest engagement. This is a leadership role that also involves mentoring junior guides and maintaining high guiding standards. Key Responsibilities:- Conduct engaging and informative game drives and bush walks
- Share expert knowledge on flora, fauna, and ecosystems
- Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times
- Mentor and support junior guides and trackers
- Assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Contribute to conservation initiatives and lodge guest activities
- Deliver high levels of guest satisfaction through personalised experiences
- FGASA Level 2 (or higher)
- Full Trails Guide qualification (preferred)
- Valid PDP and First Aid certificate
- Minimum 3–5 years guiding experience in a Big 5 area
- DEAT registered
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong tracking abilities and bush knowledge
- Passionate about conservation and hospitality
- Well-presented, professional, and guest-focused
