TINTER DUTIES
Mix and tint paint accurately according to Company Standards and proceduresfor customer requirements and specifications.
Maintain and calibrate the tinting
Demonstrate excellent product knowledge, including Company full range of coatings and accessories.
Process sales transactions, issue invoices, and handle cash/card payments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and wellstocked showroom and display area.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse for replenishment.
Handle customer complaints and returns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
Build relationships with regular customers and contractors to encourage repeat business.
DRIVER DUTIES
Deliver paint and related products to customers, contractors, and project sites safely and on time.
Load and unload goods carefully to prevent damage and spillage.
Ensure delivery notes and invoices are signed by customers and returned to the store.
Conduct pre-trip checklist and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking oil, fuel, brakes, tires, and lights.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
Follow all traffic laws and company policies regarding vehicle use.
Assist with store pickups and stock transfers between branches when required.
ON-SITE FAULT FINDER DUTIES
Visit customer sites to inspect and diagnose paint-related issues such as peeling, bubbling, discoloration, or adhesion problems.
Assess whether the fault is due to product application, surface preparation, or environmental factors.
Provide technical recommendations for corrective action, including recoating procedures or substrate treatments.
Conduct on-site demonstrations to show proper paint application techniques.
Prepare reports on findings and submit them to the store manager for review and follow-up.
Assist with training painters and contractors on best practices when necessary.
Always represent Company professionally when dealing with clients.
GENERAL DUTIES
Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations while handling paints and chemicals.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service across all roles.
Work as part of a team, assisting colleagues when necessary.
Maintain a professional appearance and wear company-issued uniforms where applicable.
Report any workplace hazards, incidents, or concerns to management immediately.
Daily Bin counts and Monthly stock takes without exception. machine to ensure correct colour matching.
Keep detailed records of formulas and customer orders for future reference.
Check stock levels of tinting bases, pigments, and additives, and report low stock to management.
Ensure all mixed paints are sealed, labelled, and presented professionally.
Clean and maintain tinting equipment daily to prevent contamination.
Follow safety and environmental guidelines for handling chemicals and waste disposal.
IN-STORE SALESPERSON DUTIES
Assist customers with paint selection, application techniques, and product recommendations.
Provide professional advice on surface preparation, primers, and waterproofing solutions.
Requirements:
- Paint Sales: 3 to 4 years
- Paint Color Consultation: 3 to 4 years
- Tinting: 3 to 4 years
Grade 12
Valid SA Driver's License
Previous working knowledge and experience within a paint store
At least 3 - 5 years experience relating to tinting and mixing of paint
