Description:

Job Purpose:To manage the day-to-day financial transactions of a group of game lodges, ensuring accurate and timeous record-keeping, reconciliations, and reporting from the head office in Hout Bay.Key Responsibilities:Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance for multiple lodge entities.Process cashbooks, journals, and general ledger entries.Ensure accurate and timely capture of supplier invoices and credit notes.Prepare and process monthly recons (bank, petty cash, creditors, and debtors).Manage supplier payments and maintain good relationships with vendors.Monitor and reconcile intercompany accounts.Process payroll journals and liaise with payroll department if outsourced.Prepare monthly management accounts for each lodge entity.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Submit VAT201, EMP201, and other SARS returns.Liaise with lodge managers and admin staff to collect and verify financial data.Assist auditors with annual financial audits and provide required documentation.Implement and maintain internal controls across all lodges. Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Bookkeeping / Finance .
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar multi-entity bookkeeping role .
  • Hospitality industry or lodge management experience highly advantageous.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., Pastel, Xero, Sage , etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
  • Excellent attention to detail , organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with lodge teams.
  • Trustworthy, discreet, and able to handle confidential information .
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based in Hout Bay , Monday–Friday.
  • Occasional travel to lodges may be required.
  • Must be comfortable working with remote teams across lodge locations.
