Description:
We are looking for a CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team in the steel industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC Bending Brake Machines and Press Brake Machines to meet precise engineering specifications. You will write and optimise programs, load tooling, and ensure that parts are manufactured accurately according to technical drawings.- The successful candidate must be able to set the CNC Bending Break machines as well the Press Break machine. The candidate will be responsible for setting the CNC Bending Machine and this includes loading of tools, writing of bending programs and ensuring that product is bend according to drawing specifications.
- Familiar with different types of press break machines and their set up requirements.
- Must be able to read and work from technical / manufacturing drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of press and CNC Bending machines.
- Must be able to us engineering tools
- Check for tolerance levels and ensure that the gauges and instruments are correct.
- Assist to perform preventative and regular maintenance on the machines. Do troubleshooting.
- Ensure that quality control is done, and goods manufactured to precision.
- Assist to ensure that production targets are met per week / per job.
- Should be able to oversee and supervise teams when needed.
- Ensure safety of all equipment during Production.
- Adherence to all Healthy and Safety rules as applicable to our client.
- Must be able to read and write English
- Able to multitask if needed and attention to detail is crucial.
- Must be able to work outside of normal working times, if needed (flexitime).
- Computer Literate - preferred
