Description:
Cecil Kilpin and Co are an independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Century City and we are seeking to employ a highly organized and efficient SAIPA Accounting Clerk.
Purpose of the job:
The primary task would be to provide the bookkeeping function for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries. Successful candidates will receive excellent training and gain a wide range of exposure and experience.
Key duties or responsibilities:
· Writing up of accounting records of clients on Pastel - Processing to be done
· Performing key reconciliations as required for clients
· Preparing accounting work relating to annual financial statements on Caseware
· Examine, analyse, and interpret accounting records to prepare basic financial statements (IFRS for SME's)
· Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis
· Preparation of monthly management accounts
· Assisting in general accounting, tax and payroll relating duties for clients
· Duties to be performed in terms of the requirements per the SAIPA contract
· Management of SAIPA logbook of yourself, if needed
· Data Capturing, Filing & general administration
Minimum requirements;
· Actively studying towards a B.Com or equivalent degree
· Experience working within an accounting firm would be advantageous
· Highly PC literate with strong excel skills
