Description:
A well-established company in the hospitality/luxury sector is looking for a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team in Cape Town. This role requires someone who is confident in handling trial balance, creditors, and debtors with precision and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Full function bookkeeping up to trial balanceManaging accounts payable (creditors) and accounts receivable (debtors)Capturing supplier invoices, reconciling statements & processing paymentsDaily bank reconciliations and petty cash controlAssisting with VAT returns and monthly management reportsLiaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queriesSupporting the Financial Manager with ad hoc tasksRequirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping role
- Strong knowledge of trial balance, creditors, and debtors
- Proficient in Pastel, Xero, or similar accounting software
- Strong Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional, deadline-driven, and able to work independently
- Based in or around Cape Town (not a remote role)
