Description:

My client is looking for a hands-on Glassware Resort and Repack Manager for their facility in Bellville, Cape Town. This is a hands-on, operational leadership role based in a high-pressure FMCG warehouse environment. You’ll be expected to lead from the front - managing a team of 50–80 staff, maintaining strict operational discipline, and ensuring full compliance with FSSC22000 and OHS protocols.
    • Candidates must have solid experience leading large teams in a warehouse or production environment, conducting non-conformance investigations, and holding staffing matters.
This role also demands a strong, confident communicator who can manage demanding clients . If you’re conflict-avoidant or struggle to assert yourself, this role won’t be the right fit.
In addition to managing people and processes, you'll also take ownership of admin duties such as compiling operational reports and ensuring SLA compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 50–80 employees on-site
  • Enforce policies, operational discipline, and team KPIs
  • Plan shift schedules and allocate workload effectively
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure production targets are met
  • Maintain compliance with FSSC22000 food safety standards
  • Uphold OHS standards and ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct non-conformance investigations related to staff conduct and performance
  • Perform risk assessments and implement corrective actions
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all client interactions — including handling complaints and managing expectations professionally
  • Compile and deliver operational reports and performance updates
  • Monitor product quality and ensure client specifications are consistently met
  • Handle admin-related tasks tied to performance, compliance, and reporting
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an FMCG warehouse or production environment
  • Proven ability to manage 50+ staff on-site
  • Strong knowledge of FSSC22000 and OHS protocols
  • Thick-skinned, assertive, and able to maintain control in high-pressure situations
  • Confident communicator who can manage difficult conversations with staff and clients
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and conflict resolution skills
  • Admin savvy (MS Office proficiency required)

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/certifications are an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
To Apply:
Send the following:
  • Updated CV
  • Head & shoulders photo
  • Matric certificate and any relevant qualifications
  • Contactable references
Note: If you don’t hear back within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
