Description:

    • Implement and monitor compliance with the site-specific Health and Safety Management Plan.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
    • Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
    • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training to workers and subcontractors.
    • Maintain all statutory HSE documentation and reporting requirements.
    • Liaise with contractors, site management, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with safety objectives.
    • Ensure compliance to legal and client requirements
    • Conduct Audits and ensure all actions are closed out
    • Write and review policies and procedures as required
    • Nurture a positive working environment.
    • Report to management and provide decision support through SHEQ standards
    • Ensure legal compliance throughout SHEQ Management
    • Implementing SHEQ strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategies

    • Additional certifications in First Aid, Fall Protection, Working at Heights and Scaffold Inspector are advantageous.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in a Safety Officer role, preferably within the construction industry.
    • Multi-Storey construction site environments and work at heights work experience.
    • Strong knowledge of South African OHS legislation and construction regulations.
    • Experience working with large teams, subcontractors, and enforcing compliance on multi-phase projects.
  • Valid SACPCMP Registration (Safety Officer category) – Compulsory.
  • Additional certifications in First Aid, Fall Protection, Working at Heights and Scaffold Inspector are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Safety Officer role, preferably within the construction industry.
