Description:
- Implement and monitor compliance with the site-specific Health and Safety Management Plan.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training to workers and subcontractors.
- Maintain all statutory HSE documentation and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with contractors, site management, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with safety objectives.
- Ensure compliance to legal and client requirements
- Conduct Audits and ensure all actions are closed out
- Write and review policies and procedures as required
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Report to management and provide decision support through SHEQ standards
- Ensure legal compliance throughout SHEQ Management
- Implementing SHEQ strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategies

- Additional certifications in First Aid, Fall Protection, Working at Heights and Scaffold Inspector are advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Safety Officer role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Multi-Storey construction site environments and work at heights work experience.
- Strong knowledge of South African OHS legislation and construction regulations.
- Experience working with large teams, subcontractors, and enforcing compliance on multi-phase projects.
- Valid SACPCMP Registration (Safety Officer category) – Compulsory.
- Additional certifications in First Aid, Fall Protection, Working at Heights and Scaffold Inspector are advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Safety Officer role, preferably within the construction industry.
