Description:

Are you a confident and analytical finance professional ready to take full ownership of the debtors book? One of our leading clients in the logistics industry is looking for an Accounts Receivable Controller to step in, supervise a small team, and oversee the end-to-end debtors function.

• Oversee the full debtors function – from reconciliations to reporting
• Supervise and mentor one debtors clerk
• Manage credit applications, perform trade references, and support cashbook processes
• Handle queries and engage with customers confidently
• Ensure accurate debt collection and maintain clean aged analysis reports

Systems & Skills You’ll Need:

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory debtors role
• Matric is essential; a finance qualification is a bonus
• Pastel or Sage experience is a must
• Intermediate to advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, formulas, reporting)
• Strong problem-solving, investigative, and communication skills
• Experience in logistics or freight forwarding is highly beneficial

Bonus Points:

• Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Own transport preferred
