Job Description:We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team based in Sea Point, Cape Town. The successful candidate will work on residential and high-end developments and will be involved in both site-specific duties and office-based responsibilities. Key Responsibilities :- Conduct cost estimations for residential and high-end development projects.
- Manage and oversee budgets, payments, and costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare bills of quantities, tender documentation, and cost reports.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly and within budget.
- Provide advice on procurement strategies and contract negotiations.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any cost-related issues.
- Attend site meetings and ensure that all quantities and costs are accurately recorded.
Qualifications and Experience :
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar).
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in residential and high-end development projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost management, construction contracts, and building regulations .
- Experience with site-specific and office-based project work .
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and QS software (such as BuildSmart or similar).
Requirements :
- Own transport is required.
- Ability to start ASAP .
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
