Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team based in Sea Point, Cape Town. The successful candidate will work on residential and high-end developments and will be involved in both site-specific duties and office-based responsibilities. Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct cost estimations for residential and high-end development projects.
• Manage and oversee budgets, payments, and costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare bills of quantities, tender documentation, and cost reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly and within budget.
• Provide advice on procurement strategies and contract negotiations.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any cost-related issues.
• Attend site meetings and ensure that all quantities and costs are accurately recorded.

Qualifications and Experience :

• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar).
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in residential and high-end development projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, construction contracts, and building regulations .
• Experience with site-specific and office-based project work .
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and QS software (such as BuildSmart or similar).

Requirements :

• Own transport is required.
• Ability to start ASAP .
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
