Description:
An International Market Leading manufacturer situated in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to join their design team – focusing on structures and tooling.
In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for the design and manufacture of new large-scale jigs and fixtures, along with the maintenance of existing jigs and tooling. You'll also play a crucial part in investigating manufacturing problems, proposing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, including factory layout changes. A strong focus on safety and quality will be essential to your responsibilities.
Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering Diploma or Degree
2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum 1 year of experience designing structural frames
Proficient in SolidWorks
Working knowledge on Excel
Valid SA driver's license
