Our client, based in Claremont, Cape Town, is seeking a skilled and motivated .NET Developer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a full qualification, at least 5 years of experience, and proven expertise in C#, ASP.NET, and SQL, with a solid understanding of RDBMS concepts and design. Experience or familiarity with .NET Core and Entity Framework is highly advantageous. This is a hybrid position; however, the successful candidate will be required to work on-site for the first three months as part of the initial six-month probation period. We're looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, who is self-motivated, well-organized, and eager to continuously learn new technologies. A strong aptitude for problem-solving and optimizing performance to meet both technical and business requirements is essential. DUTIES:
- Support of existing development code base, including patches and enhancements
- Documenting the current code base, including ensuring proper code management and version control
- Developing new solutions based on business requirements
- Understanding business processes and aligning these requirements within a development environment
- Assisting senior developers with any overflow workload
- Implementing development best practices
- Ensuring that code development aligns with the IT infrastructure roadmap, including cloud development
- Investigating current development trends and proposing potential new practices to the team
- Fulfilling a Database Administration role, including database support, analytics, and reporting
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
