Our client, a well-established legal firm based in Sandton, is seeking a skilled Conveyancing Secretary with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), possess a strong legal background, and demonstrate the ability to work independently under pressure with a high degree of accuracy. REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of industry relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong legal background within the property or conveyancing sector
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to perform well under pressure
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with Nedbank Bond processes (advantageous)
DUTIES:
- Drafting and preparing legal documents, including:
- Sale agreements
- Transfer documents
- Bond documents
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, banks, and municipalities
- Managing timelines and ensuring compliance with legal procedures and deadlines
- Handling Deeds Office processes, including tracking lodgements and registrations
- Collecting and verifying FICA documentation
- Calculating costs and preparing financial statements related to property transactions
- Maintaining accurate records of all transactions and correspondence
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
- 60-minute lunch break from 13:00 – 14:00
