A dynamic and well-established multi-disciplinary consulting firm is seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town team, based in Plattekloof. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a diverse team of professionals in architecture and engineering, contributing to a wide range of impactful projects across multiple sectors.
Requirements:

BTech or BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying
-
Professional Registration (PrQS)
-
6–10 years of relevant industry experience
-
Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities:
-
Review and evaluate design documentation
-
Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates
-
Compile bills of quantities and contract documentation
-
Perform financial evaluations of tenders
-
Manage cost control functions including valuations, variation orders, and cost reports
-
Prepare and negotiate final accounts
-
Conduct site visits and attend project meetings
-
Prepare repair estimates, damage costings, and viability studies
-
Liaise with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and fellow Quantity Surveyors
Core Competencies:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Excellent attention to detail
-
Proficiency in MS Excel and other QS software
-
Effective time management and organisational abilities
-
Skilled in budgeting, estimating, procurement, and cost control
-
Confident negotiator with a proactive approach to quality assurance
