Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving and recording samples for quality work as per predetermined specifications.
- Distribute samples to different labs for analysis within quality standards.
- Responsible for well-prepared calibration standards and quality control for all instruments.
- Timeous completion of transfer checks and report calculation results.
- Conduct analysis on advanced instrumentation.
- Compile, implement and validate test methods
- Compile quality control charts to confirm the accuracy of and performance of instruments.
- Timeous completion of transfer checks and reporting of results
- Assess chemical stock levels and control stationary orders for scientific services.
- Ensure instruments are calibrated and perform accurately
- Execute quality work as per predetermined quality standards.
- Record and report accurate results in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017
- Perform any other related duties as required from time to time.
- Observe all Health and Safety protocols and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Lab Technician Chemistry.
- 1 year experience in an accredited laboratory (operation and maintenance of specialized instrumentation).
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017
- Competent in MS Office.
- Report writing skills.
- Valid Drivers’ License.
