Junior Salesperson

Description:

Our client is looking for a Junior Salesperson to join their team in Paarl. The role is suited to an energetic person with a good work ethic and enthusiasm to develop sales skill and product knowledge.

Our client is an agricultural wholesale business with branches in each major province. They supply farmers and nurseries with substrates, greenhouse film and a range of agricultural plastics and netting.

The junior salesperson would be expected to maintain established relationships with customers as well actively seeking potential sales. The salesperson would visit customers, take stock orders and help deliver orders. They are required to be an excellent representative to customers and would be mentored by senior salespeople if required. A weekly customer visit roster must be planned and executed with feedback relayed to management.

Requirements:

• Drivers licence - applicant must have a valid drivers licence and be willing to learn how to drive a Hyster.
• Good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and meet set deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills - candidate must be well spoken and polite with confidence to interact with customers comfortably.
• An agricultural background would be advantageous.
• Previous sales experience advantageous.
• Eager to acquire sales skill and technical knowledge of specialised products.
• Target driven.
• Self-motivated individual, who can carry out tasks and duties in full without supervision.
• Able to work well within in a professional team and communicate with said team.
• Ability to problem solve and think independently.
