We are partnering with a leading independent consulting firm, and they are expanding their Project Management capabilities to allow their specialist technical teams to focus on core engineering, ensuring rigorous service delivery to clients.
This is a key opportunity to offer a wide range of project management and project control functions across the project life cycle, working on complex projects with current and future potential, specifically within the energy sector .
This position offers flexibility to be based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
· Developing detailed project execution plans in collaboration with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
· Managing and coordinating the integration of technical activities to achieve project objectives.
· Ensuring project deliverables comply with design standards, legal regulations, environmental standards, and necessary permits.
· Identifying potential project risks and devising effective mitigation strategies.
· Implementing quality control measures to ensure project standards and performance objectives are met.
· Applying skills across various project management aspects, including stakeholder, human, integration, scope, risk, cost, time, procurement, communication, design, construction, health & safety, quality, and environment management.
What you'll bring:
· A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field (a Master's degree is highly advantageous).
· Technical knowledge in the energy sector (with the ability to develop further knowledge as required).
· Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or SACPCMP accreditation
· The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workloads effectively, and identify needs for team support.
