A global leader in optical and healthcare innovation is on the lookout for a Cost & Management Accountant. The Cost and Management Accountant will help drive efficiency, support strategic decisions, and ensure financial clarity across their operations.The Cost and Management Accountant will oversee the full cycle of foreign and inter-company creditors, ensuring that all documentation, payments, and reconciliations are accurate, complete, and timely. This role is critical to maintaining clean inter-company accounts with zero discrepancies, ensuring the prompt processing of especially foreign payments, and the accurate recording of inventory and cost of sales. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with both local and international financial and tax regulations.
As a Cost & Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures. Analyze cost variances and prepare detailed reports for management. Monitor manufacturing and operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports. Assist with month-end closing processes, including inventory valuation. Conduct profitability analysis for products, services, and business units. Collaborate closely with supply chain and operations to align financial insights with business goals. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications and Skills:
Completed BCom in Finance At least 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a multinational or manufacturing environment Strong practical experience in managing foreign creditors, foreign exchange revaluations, and inter-company account reconciliations Proven ability to support tax submissions and perform accurate general ledger reconciliations Demonstrated success in managing vendor relationships, ensuring payment accuracy, and maintaining compliance with financial policies
