An exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Team Leader who will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the team, ensuring all branches operate within the standard operating procedures (Finance) and will have ongoing engagements with senior Finance staff, Risk management, Branch management and Operations.
- Team Leadership - managing and motivating a team of finance staff, including training, performance management, and development.
- Partner to the Finance management team – review existing finance and operational processes and make recommendations that improve efficiency and risk management
- Financial Operations - overseeing daily financial transactions, balancing accounts, and ensuring accurate record-keeping:
- Daily sales to payment reconciliations
- Daily cash to drop safe reconciliations
- Daily requirements for new online account
- Daily IBT / GIT stock clearing
- Daily cash advances clearing
- Weekly petty cash reconciliations
- Finance Branch Services – manage ad-hoc business requirements over the following:
- Group cell-phone administration and policy management
- Refund requests
- Compliance and Risk Management - ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, and implementing controls to minimize operational losses specifically relating to Credit Notes, Refunds and Proof of Deliveries.
- Reporting and Analysis - preparing financial reports, analyzing data, and identifying
- Communication - establish and maintain effective communication channels between the team, branch management, and other stakeholders.

- Management Experience: 2 to 3 years
- Matric certificate
- BCom / BTech Internal degree with Financial Accounting major or similar diploma or certificate courses will be considered
- 2 years experience in a similar role, overseeing branch administration or branch finance operations or, 5 years experience in either of debtors, creditors or general ledger activities within a branch retail environment
- Kerridge v21 experience would be advantageous
- Retail environment, with semi-decentralised branches
- 2 years team management experience or lengthy experience within a high performing team and ready to step-up
