Description:
As the Accountant, your duties include the following
Process supplier invoices and customer payments with accuracy and attention to detail
Manage credit terms, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances to support healthy cash flow
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and daily cash book transactions
Ensure all entries are accurate and aligned with internal accounting policies
Monitor asset acquisitions, movements, and disposals
Maintain depreciation schedules and ensure fixed asset reporting complies with relevant standards
Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory tax documents
Ensure timely, accurate submissions and compliance with SARS requirements
Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
Review financial work prepared by team members to ensure accuracy and completeness
Offer guidance and support to colleagues as needed to maintain high-quality outputs
Partner with operations, procurement, and senior management to align finance with business operations
Provide insights into cost tracking, budget performance, and process improvements
Maintain well-organized, audit-ready financial records
Support internal and external audits by preparing the required documentation and resolving audit queries promptly
Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in the finance function from reconciliations to reporting
Someone who can balance books on the spot and explain the story behind the numbers
Sharp-mind and a can-do attitude
Qualification:
Completed Finance or Accounting diploma or degree
Grade 12 (matric)
