Description:
A leading manufacturer and distributor in the FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Exports Logistics Coordinator to join their fast-paced team based in Johannesburg . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in cross-border exports, particularly within Sub-Saharan Africa and the SADC trade bloc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full export logistics process, ensuring compliance with international and in-country trade regulations, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage the full export logistics process, including transport scheduling, customs procedures, and documentation.

Liaise with the sales team to plan and execute customer delivery schedules based on forecasted demand.

Negotiate freight contracts with logistics providers for cost-effective solutions.

Prepare and review export documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, export declarations).

Ensure compliance with international and local trade regulations and resolve any customs issues.

Monitor shipments, address delays or disruptions, and maintain communication with stakeholders.

Keep accurate records of shipments, documentation, costs, and compliance.

Analyze export logistics KPIs to identify and implement operational improvements.
-
Drive continuous improvement and lead cross-functional process enhancement initiatives.

Provide training and support to junior logistics staff on export processes and best practices.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.

3–5 years’ experience in export logistics, specifically in cross-border road exports.
-
In-depth knowledge of international and in-country trade regulations and non-tariff barriers.

Working knowledge of Incoterms® 2000, 2010, and 2020.
-
Familiarity with customs procedures and logistics software tools.
-
Understanding of direct vs. indirect exports and related compliance.

Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Export compliance or supply chain certifications are advantageous.
